| Dear Members and Friends of the Council of the Alleghenies:
You are cordially invited to the Spring Dinner Meeting of the Council of the Alleghenies. It will be held on Tuesday, May 11 at the Frostburg United Methodist Church on Main Street. We will gather at 6:00 PM, with the meal being served at 6:15 PM. Our meal will consist of tossed salad, chicken breast in cream sauce, baked or sweet potato, peas-cauliflower-carrot mix, assorted pies and cheesecake, rolls and butter and beverages. The price is $14.00 per person to cover the cost of the meal and gratuity. Our program will be presented by Dr. Keith Schlegel, retired from the Frostburg State Department of English. Keith will be portraying Walt Whitman, a major writer of the 19th century. Included will be a brief account of Whitman's travel on the National Road. Please put this date on your calendar and send in the reservation slip below by Wednesday, May 5.
